This is the prototype of Bill Tippin's new 14 fret, 0 sized Staccato. His goal for this model was a small body guitar with an attitude, sort of like that small dog you were afraid to pass on the way to school as a youngster. This guitar exceeded Bill's hopes and was a huge hit at the Newport Guitar Festival. The Staccato delivers a big, fat tone with more volume and tone than many OMs. The small body character and focus are certainly present but this guitar can play with the big boys.

"We've all dreamt about it, a small body guitar that's easy to hold but has a big sound, has 14 frets but sounds sweet like a 12 fretter, has a short 24.9" scale for ease of play but isn't wimpy in the bass, is extremely beautiful but not over the top with pearl. Well let me tell you, this is that guitar! I'm am nothing short of thrilled with this new design of Bill's. It delivers in so many ways it is just remarkable. If you close your eyes you swear you are playing a bigger box. This has all the small body charm and focus but it's not a one trick pony. You can use it for many styles and it's so comfortable you can play it all day. Kudos to Bill for his new creation, the Staccato!" - Paul Heumiller
