This rare Sobell instrument is being offered by recording artist Henry Kaiser. One of just 6 of these ever built by English maker Stefan Sobell. Henry has used this very instrument on numerous projects but is sadly making room for another custom Sobell. The Giant Cittern plays essentially like a 12 string guitar but with the character of the cittern family of instruments. With a 25.6" scale it works great in Standard Tunings, DADGAD or Low C tunings. If you are looking to add to your sonic palette perhaps this unique beauty will inspire you.

1992 Sobell Giant Cittern - Bouzouki Acoustic Guitar Player Reviews

Player Reviews:

"We often speak with players looking for a unique sound to add to their collection of instruments. I can imagine this Sobell inspiring many a fresh idea. It feels just like a guitar and is tuned the same so this is a great chance for a guitarist to branch out tonally. It's also a very rare instrument owned by recording artist Henry Kaiser, which adds to its collectibility." - Paul Heumiller

"I have a four-course and a five-course Sobell at home, but this is indeed a different animal. I tuned it in CGCGCD for the sample and it seems to like that tension. It also works well in DADGAD. Henry Kaiser says he tuned it in Standard and drop D, so it's pretty versatile. This is one of six ever made and it's bound to be a very collectible instrument as time goes on." - Al Petteway
