Boaz is revered in the guitar world as an innovator and fearless seeker of tone. This guitar is a great example of that. Here we have many unique ideas, there is a Spruce top and back, yes back. There is no soundhole on the top but rather one on the side. The bends in the sides are all bent by hand and are not cut joints. Inside there is Kasha inspired bracing with arched back braces that allow it to move. The neck is solid Brazilian Rosewood that is reinforced, the frets are made of Delrin, a very rare and tough fret material. The string pull through the top via an access door at the tail wedge. Suffice to say that this cutting edge instrument occupies a unique place in the time space continuum. And that space is very beautiful and very musical. The player looking to round out his collection with something special should very definitely check this one out.

"This is exciting. We are the exclusive U.S. dealer for Boaz guitars and it's a joy to represent a maker so inspiring and fearless. This Clarita Negra is amazing. Everywhere you look is something fresh and exciting. This guitar has great projection and clarity, it is a terrific performance instrument. This would be a great collector piece but even more inspiring as a player guitar. Either way, you would have one of the most unique and inspiring guitars around." - Paul Heumiller
"This is an interesting guitar with an interesting story. Everything about it is experimental. The marriage of science and art has resulted in an instrument that is unique in its clarity and balance. From the Delrin frets to the spruce back and through-the-top stringing method, nothing about this guitar is traditional. " - Al Petteway
"This is easily the most unique acoustic I've ever played. To my ear it would be highly favored by fans of jazz and Gypsy styles. Dense chords sound very pure and punchy here and single lines have a vaguely "Macaferri-esque" quality. I'm hearing Frank Vignola, Jon Jorgensen, etc. It plays like a dream, has access waaay the heck up the neck, is wonderfully balanced, has extraordinary clarity... If you're looking for a historic instrument that beautifully carves out its own niche, look no further." - Al Schlimm
