This is a Weissonator from Mike Maricopa Guitars. Based on the instruments of Hermann Weissenborn bult in the '20s and '30s. This guitar breaks with the original design in that it is a resonator instrument. It is a tricone with three small cones and a "T-bridge" set in a "well" connected to the instrument's top. So it's like a National with a Weissenborn shape and all Koa body. The result is a wonderful singing voice that is sweet and clear. It is also stunning, everyone stops to look at this beauty...

Player Reviews:

"What a gorgeous instrument, the Koa wood is stunning and we all love it. The unusual tricone design makes this a awesome sounding guitar that can morph to do most anything. The voice is very sweet and compelling." - Paul Heumiller

"This instrument has the shape of a Weissenborn with the sound of Dobro or National. It's tricone design is unique for this style of instrument and gives the sound a nice quality that combines "throaty" and "nasal." It sounds more like it would be used for Blues or Bluegrass. Beautiful to look at too." - Al Petteway
