This Beneteau Nick Lucas is a great example of what this model was all about. In the 1920s and 30s Gibson created a 00 sized guitar with a 13 fret neck joint and a deeper body for some additional bass response to go with the powerful 00 voice. We believe Marc Beneteau's modern version is one of the best as it embodies the spirit of the old Gibson but has even more clarity and character. This Brazilian beauty is topped with Lutz, which is a hybrid Spruce that combines Sitka and White Spruces. It's a versatile top wood that opens up quickly. There is a side Soundport so you get an earful in the driver's seat. This Bene NL is a powerhouse. The trebles command attention and the bass is controlled but energetic. Great guitar.

Player Reviews:

"I love to play blues and rags. From Charlie Patton to Rev. Gary Davis this guitar eats it up. It's very strong and loud with clear and present Trebles that make melodies jump out. The short scale is easy to play and the 13 fret neck keeps the tone sweet while allowing good reach up high. The soundport makes it easy to enjoy the tone from behind. All the best of the Nick Lucas made even better by Luthier Marc Beneteau!" - Paul Heumiller

"I think this design is the perfect thing for folks that like 00 sized guitars but want a bit more umpf to the sound. The deeper body balances out the smaller shape and having the neck join at the 13th fret just makes sense. This one has Brazilian rosewood for the back and sides and a nice stiff lutz spruce top. It's a real winner in every way." - Al Petteway
