We are thrilled to add Novax Guitars to our offerings. We have long admired Ken's work and his wonderful Fanned-Fret innovations. We selected this wonderful Birdseye Maple Solid Body from the "Naturals" series. This is an inspired piece crafted from a dramatic piece of Birdseye Maple with insane figure and dramatic exposed grain. The scale is the XR (Extended Range 25"-27") which allows tunings from standard down to low C, all the while playing with ease and offering strong bass response. The pickups are Bartolinis voiced clean in the neck and powerful at the bridge(see below for more). This guitar turns heads and commands the ear. From Ken Novax - "The Naturals series of instruments features woods with unique character, and the instruments attempt to display that character in an artistic way. The Bartolini "soapbar" style pickups are made specifically for Novax; the voicing of the neck pickup is specially suited to jazz, with a warm, round attack and full bodied tone that is not muddy, but articulate and clear. The custom bridge pickup has special internal structure to allow us to mount it at an angle appropriate for the best bridge pickup tone, and the voicing is appropriate for rock and blues, with strong output."
