Diego Huerga is an Argentinean luthier specializing in archtop and flattop guitars that look as beautiful as they sound. Here we have one of his gorgeous archtops in fantastic Quilted Maple and Spruce, with some very thoughtfully executed appointments, such as Brazilian Rosewood and Ebony bridge, carved ebony pickguard and tailpiece, and a wonderfully executed sunburst. This big boy isn't all looks, though -- Huerga manages to capture a strong and articulate voice that's very responsive to the touch, and sure to inspire the player.

2002 Huerga La Somori Toime - Archtop Hollowbody Electric Archtop Guitar Player Reviews

Player Reviews:

"Though I'm not very familiar with his work, I really like this fantastic archtop from South American builder, Diego Huerga. There's something very Romantic and European about his design choices -- the F holes seem a nod to the classical stringed instrument family, and there's just something "Old World" about his style sensibilities. One thing is for sure -- the tone and playability are excellent no matter the time zone!" - Paul Heumiller

"Nice bite and great for chopping out rhythm. The neck is on the chunkier side for folks who appreciate that." - Al Petteway
