If you thought one guitar from Gerald Sheppard would blow you away, you might want to batten down the hatches before visiting the shop: we just got three brand new Ave Maria Sheppards from the man himself!
This, his deep-bodied Grand Auditorium, features a sumptuously grained set of Madagascar Rosewood for the back and sides (and can be found elsewhere as headstock veneer and binding) and a Swiss Spruce top which is creamy in color and velvet smooth in tone. With a big, rich voice such as these woods provide, this GA is perfect for fingerstylists of every persuasion; pianistic separation of notes, chocolate-rich middle and lower registers, trebles which ring like bells. And speaking of bells, Sheppard has pulled out all the stops and added every bell and whistle in his arsenal to this Ave Maria GA, from the soundport, arm bevel, and rib bevel to the Select Blue Paua Pearl trim along the body, rosette, and backstrip, the Snakewood endpin, and immaculately glossed finish.
Do yourself a favor and visit the showroom to try these three sisters out--but be prepared for a stalemate, because they are equally magnificient!

"Seriously, this is some of the finest looking, and sounding, Madagascar Rosewood I've seen in quite a while. Gerald's got a great eye for Blue Paua Abalone, and his appointments are elegant, especially the fretboard inlay." - Paul Heumiller
"Very similar to the GC but bigger and deeper in every way. The larger body gives it more bass response, but the plain strings still have plenty of tone and character." - Al Petteway
