The DX is the Greven version
of a Gibson-J-200 style guitar. Unlike the J-200, my DX is
only 4 1/4 inches deep while retaining the full 17 inch wide
lower bout. This combination of large top surface and relatively
shallow body gives this guitar a very big bass response without
the typical "blowing over a Coke bottle" sound of
air moving in and out of the soundhole that deeper boxes so
often have.
