The Prairie State guitar is the latest addition to the family of Greven guitars. Inspired by the Franklin Jumbo, which in turn was a retake on the very large guitars built by Larson Brothers in the late 1920's, the Greven Prairie State is designed for the player who needs an exceptionally powerful sound and a very light set-up. The wide top braced with intensely scalloped bracing gives this guitar a bass sound much like a baby grand piano. Even in drop A tuning, the low E string is strong and clear with no signs of flabbiness. In drop D tuning it is awesome.
