Everett Guitars, 2008 Everett Elan: The
Elan is Kent Everett's extremely limited custom
designed model where he applies his full experience
and all his tricks of the trade. These are spectacular
guitars that are as artful as they are musical.
Kent has made guitars for some of the biggest
names in music including Brad Paisley, Amy Ray,
David Wilcox and more. For this Elan we selected
the finest set of dark, old growth Brazilian Rosewood
that Kent had to offer. It is outstanding and
features dramatic sapwood that contrasts beautifully
against the dark black quarter sawn Brazilian
Rosewood. This is the good stuff. For the top
we selected German Spruce as it is one of the
most complete Spruces available to us. These woods
combine with the short scale for a stunning, sweet
voice, that is brilliant, clear and sustains forever.
The sound almost seems to swell before it diminishes.
But it's not only tonally complete, it is also
breathtakingly gorgeous. The pictures are worth
a thousand words but be sure to look for the elegant
Headstock that is bound with recessed tuners,
the custom Koa and Abalone fret markers, The custom
neck heel, the armrest bevel, the soundport, the
fingerboard extension, the wax sealed luthier's
note and finish at the stunning tail wedge. This
is a premiere example of modern luthery. This

"This may be the finest Everett I've
held to date. The woods are exquisite, starting
with dark Black Brazilian Rosewood. The kind
modern luthiers long for. We topped it with
Master Grade German Spruce for a complete
voice that has it all, warmth, power, clarity
and sustain. Kent's voice is evident in the
top end sizzle, strong bass projection and
overall balance and refined tone. Kent makes
very few guitars and approaches each as a
work of art so there are many small details
here that you need to note from the armrest
bevel to the soundport, to the fingerboard
extension and bindings to the carved bridge,
custom fret markers, sunken tuner sockets
and gorgeous rosette. This is truly a work
of art, but one you can hold, hear and enjoy
and pass down for generations. Just exquisite."

Kent Everett Guitars, 2007 Everett Metrocaster:
We could tell that Kent was extremely excited about
this new design. He called us a few times, sent emails
and pics, each time with more exhileration in his voice.
We could tell this would be something special, but we
underestimated the Metrocaster, this is beyond cool...
For starters the body is shallow and easy to hold, then
there is the totally new neck joint that, in combination
with the beveled cutaway, allows you to easily play
up to the 20th fret! You can now reach the registers
you left behind on your stratocasters and Les Pauls.
But there's more... an armrest bevel, sculpted headstock
and bridge, recessed rosette, B-Band pickup with custom
battery door and Gotoh Delta Series 510 tuners. This
is an incredible instrument that will be a delight for
a player who gigs, or just longs to be able to play
up at the dusty end of the fingerboard... This instrument

"After building for many years Kent is at a
place where he builds very few guitars, each one
a true work of art. He has the luxury of time to
develop new ideas like this Metrocaster. A quick
look at the neck heel and you know this is different.
This design gives a player the ability reach the
20th fret with ease. Once your left hand reaches
the body it is greeted by a bevel cutaway surface
similar to the one your right arm enjoys on the
lower bout. The Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack
body offers up a clear and beautiful voice with
sweetness and plenty of power. It strums beautiful
and has a wonderful fingerstyle voice as well. These
premium woods are augmented with stunning details
from head to toe. The bindings are all striking
Ebony, the fingerboard is bound and bordered, the
headstock and bridge are sculpted. Just amazing
ideas. This would be such a treat on stage, it holds
close to the body, the bevel make for hours of comfortable
playing and you can get to every fret. Lead players
will die for this guitar. We give you the Metrocaster...
