SOLD - William Kelday Guitars: 2007 Kelday Terz Acoustic Guitar

A Terz guitar is a short scale, small bodied instrument designed to be tuned up a 3rd or 4th depending on the scale length offering the player a completely new voice. It's sort of the opposite of a baritone guitar. This little beauty is crafted from rare English Yew wood and has a complex and colorful sound that is as sweet as a ripe mango. There is abundant overtones and sympathetic vibrations that create a colorful reverb and sustain beyond compare. Owner Paul Heumiller fell in love with this one and has nabbed it for his own. But we will surely request more of these and would be happy to build you one so please inquire. This instrument features:

  • Comments: "This is a great little guitar. It's so much better than capoing up because you still get access to the higher frets and the small body has immense tonal charm. Unbelievable." - Al Petteway

"In addition to be the owner of Dream Guitars, I'm also a player and a guitar nut just like you. This one just took my breath away. I'm always seeking new voices for my songwriting which is why I own a Baritone and now this beautiful Terz guitar from William Kelday. The moment I played it I had to have it. You know what I mean. As Al mentioned capoing up sounds good, but the large body character is nothing like what you get here. In a Terz the entire design works to create the magical, brilliant voice. I found several Terz guitars at the show and I believe you'll be seeing more of these. It's a wonderful voice to add to any set of guitars. I look forward to my next music night with my friends and playing in this register, it will add a new voice to the mix for sure. I also plan to try some duets with it. We'll be getting more so inquire for yours..." - Paul Heumiller
