Nigel Forster learned to make Cittern family instruments like this 10 string Octave Mandolin during his long tenor with Stefan Sobell. Nigel is now well-known for his own voice which shows it's lineage to Sobell but also has power and style of it's own. This 5 course Octave Mandolin crafted from Rosewood and German Spruce is right at home for Celtic music, Greek, Klezmer or anything else you want to throw at it. It has a definite growl and cuts through with ease.
