2007 Lucas Guitars LSJW Small Jumbo Acoustic Guitar

We've known Randy Lucas and his guitars for some years now. We have occassionally been lucky to find a preowned example of his amazing work but now we are proud to announce that we will be offering his work on a regular basis. This is particularly exciting for us becaused Randy has a long history of building the finest guitars as well as doing some amazing restoration work which gives him unusual insights into tone and integrity. Randy's current focus is on his new wedge body shapes that are among the most versatile instruments you will find. He builds with only seasoned woods and hide glue and draws on his vast knowledge of vintage guitars to create his own wonderful voice. We saw these two SJs at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival and just had to have them. These are extraordinary guitars crafted with the finest materials on the planet. We invite you to read on and discover Randy Lucas Guitars.

Dream Guitars Player's Review:
"Randy built this guitar along with the Brazilian Rosewood model to showcase his work at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival. As a show guitar it deserved his best set of rare Koa with what he calls micro curl. This is a dense, flame figure on top of the finest color and grain. This wood is simply unlike any Koa we've ever seen. In addition to being breathtakingly beautiful it has a rich and vibrant voice. I love Koa on a larger body and paired here with Adirondack you get a powerful full voice with a chimey top end shimmer. Listen to the clip and you'll understand how well voiced this guitar is. The micro curl Maple neck has an amazing feel and Randy's setup is among the best. He dresses the fret ends and fingerboard edges for ultimate comfort and playability. With Koa becoming more rare, many of our collectors are adding it to there collections and this one is certainly a gem." - Paul Heumiller
