2007 Maingard Guitars OM - Acoustic Guitar
Even though Marc Maingard builds his fine instruments in Cape Town South Africa he has a very hard time getting any African Blackwood. That's how rare this amazing tonewood is. For hundreds of years African Blackwood has been the tonewood of choice for many woodwind instruments. Here it lends it's deeply rich voice to this Maingard OM Cutaway. Topped with European Spruce there is a wonderful blend of power, sparkle and fullness. Also present are Marc's famous armrest and ribrest bevels making this a superbly comfortable guitar. Curly Maple top purfling and the touch of blue in the rosette give it Maingard flair.
