2007 Applegate SJ - Small Jumbo Acoustic Guitar
Here's an Applegate small jumbo with African Blackwood back and sides and a European Spruce top. This one strikes a beautiful balance between top-end jangle and the darker shades that you sometimes get from African Blackwood. Its sound (somewhat mahogany-like, especially at the bottom) is rich but clear, with a full and articulate bass, punchy mids, and crisp highs. It plays like a dream and responds very well when you dug into.
