So you get one of the most versatile guitars around with a big, bold voice, but you also get comfort and ergonomics. This G4 is a Fan Fret combining a 27" bass scale with a short 25" treble scale, a system we can tell you is perfect for low tunings and Standard and provides improved intonation. Player Reviews:

"I'm hoping somebody buys this guitar because it is calling my name. I play in many tunings from Low C to DADGAD to Standard and this Fan Fret is PERFECT for that. Having a 27" bass scale make C sound amazing and the short 25" treble scale plays like butter even tuned to Standard. The tone is all Greenfield, rich, powerful bass and the fattest trebles around. As an added benefit strumming this cannon is a joy and result in Dread-like tone. This really is one of the most versatile guitars you'll find anywhere and while it looks different everyone adapts to the Fan Fret instantly, it actually feels more natural to most players because our hands naturally splay. This is cool...." - Paul Heumiller

"This guitar has a sound that is big, but controlled. The fan fret design is great for folks who like to tune the low strings down. It's identical to the Don Alder Model, but doesn't have his signature on it" - Al Petteway
