New Kinnaird P1 Parlor - Acoustic Guitar
This is our first guitar from Maker Stephen Kinnaird of Texas and what a beauty. High Curl Western Big Leaf Maple with a nearly black sunburst makes for dramatic hide and seek with the figure of the Maple. The sides and neck are tone to match as well. The top is Engelmann which adds a decided warmth to the responsiveness of the Maple. The voice is very strong, very rich and beautiful. From top to bottom, literally, the adornments are stunning. Starting with the unique shape of the slotted headstock which is guilded in Gold and White Pearl, also bound and bordered. Then comes a solid Pearl nut that Steven Kinnaird said he's always wanted to try. Then on to the beautifully bound and bordered fingerboard that is dressed again in a lovely mix of Gold and White Pearl. Lastly, the rosette is captivating with shell inset into deep black wood. White perflings on all sides add lovely contrast to the dark burst and bring the canvas to life. But when you are not staring at it you will love playing this guitar. It's alive, beautiful, easy to hold and to play. It's at once a gentleman's guitar and a man's guitar...
