2005 Sheppard Guitars Dream Series #2 - Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar

SOLD

The Dream Series guitars from Gerald Sheppard are typically sold before they arrive, so here's a great opportunity to obtain a rare preowned one in player condition. This is #2 of 10 and it features some amazing African Blackwood in a 2 piece back with dramatic sapwood elements throughout. African Blackwood is actually more rare than Brazilian Rosewood and it's value is climbing. The audio clip best describes the hauntingly beautiful tone of this guitar but take if from us, it's magical. We are very proud of this series from Gerald. This one has some play wear and a few finish checks and is priced accordingly, if you care more about tone than condition here's your chance for a Sheppard Dream Series.

Player Reviews:

"African Blackwood is an outstanding tonewood, long used in the woodwind world for it's clear note, wonderful sustain and smooth midrange. It has a dark, warm and rich tone that is all its own. You don't see many blackwood guitars because it's very hard to find this wood in wide boards. The inspiration for this series was indeed the premium sets of this wood that Gerald Sheppard had. Gerald has made the most of the beauty of this wood in every aspect of this guitar, it's as beautiful as its voice. This one is priced right to account for some play wear and finish checks, but it is solid and ready to play." - Paul Heumiller

"I'm a big fan of Gerald Sheppard's and his African Blackwood Dream Series guitars are my favorites. The tone has a bit of a warmer, darker quality with plenty of high end sparkle - similar to the sound and response of good Brazilian but with it's own unique midrange. This one is great for fingerstyle or strumming. It doesn't hold back when you play it hard either." - Al Petteway
