A year ago I made my first purchase from Dream Guitars. The guitar I bought was a 2005 Buscarino Grand Cabaret, my first made by John Buscarino. Not able to visit, I had made arrangements over the phone with Paul Heumiller and the staff at Dream Guitars to have the instrument shipped to me to try out. They made the process so incredibly easy. I was notified the day the guitar was shipped and given tracking information so I could follow the instrument as it traveled.
The guitar arrived at my doorstep on the day it was expected. I found the guitar carefully packed and supported in its case and the case packed securely in a robust box. In a recent phone call with one of the Dream Guitars staff, I learned that with every shipment, cushioning material is custom formed and fit to each guitar case in its shipping box before the box is closed and sealed. That care insures the instrument remains stable and securely supported during shipment so that it arrives to you in the same condition as it was before leaving Dream Guitars. If that’s not attention to detail, then I don’t know what is.
The Buscarino Grand Cabaret guitar was an amazing instrument and it didn’t take long for me to decide to buy it. The follow-up with Paul and staff at Dream Guitars to complete the purchase went smoothly. There was never any pressure to buy the guitar. I felt they were as interested in making sure I was happy as I was in trying to find a guitar that I really liked.
Now, a year later, I recently bought a second Buscarino Cabaret from Dream Guitars. Unlike the first with a cedar top, the new Cabaret has a spruce top. Both guitars have superior tone, balance and intensity. The projection and sustain of notes from each string exceeds that of any nylon stringed guitar I’ve ever played (and that’s about 55 years worth). Also important to me are the shape and dimensions of the neck and fingerboard of both guitars. John Buscarino must have been very careful to make sure his guitars were easy on the hands because they really are.
So. if you have been looking for a unique, high quality guitar but haven’t found what you’ve been looking for, give Dream Guitars serious consideration. When you feel ready, email or call Dream Guitars and talk them, they’re nice people. I’m very happy that I did.
