Description

A piece of 1932 that’s alive and well. Here we’ve landed a Martin OM-28 in strong playing shape with some repairs over the years, plus an incredibly wide open, expressive voice. You just can’t get this with a torrefication rig! The Adirondack Spruce top has opened up completely in the past 90 years; the trebles particularly thick, present, and articulate. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides have had some cracks repaired, but are in great playing shape. It’s incredible to see such “boring” Brazilian Rosewood, the grain is arrow straight. Bar frets along the fingerboard have been dressed by our own repair staff, and they feel excellent under your fingertips. V neck has been played in over the years and feels like your favorite old pair of jeans.

This is a holy grail guitar, not just because of its rarity but because if its sound. This one is incredible, no other way to put it.

Wide, wide, wide open. You can only achieve this level of expressiveness with time, and this 1932 OM-28 has had plenty of that. Bar frets have been dressed for extra smooth playability, and the neck has been played in the perfect amount; it feels like home.
