Description

Short of shelling out serious folding money (read: mortgage) on a 1933 OM-45, try on this 2001 Martin OM-45 Golden Era for size. This beau’s been built as a stick-for-stick recreation of the ’33 holy grail OM, right down to the Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Adirondack Spruce top, scalloped bracing, and Abalone vine inlays.
This one plays like butter in the pan, and is dead mint, so all those multitudes of miters and Abalone appointments shine before the eye without distraction. The voice is easy and smooth, well-balanced, and loves to slip down into Open D.
To think a contemporary guitar could have so much vintage mojo—the 2001 Martin OM-45 GE doesn’t disappoint.

If you’re looking for a Martin guitar with a big, open voice like a vintage guitar but with more modern playability, this one is for you. This one is so much fun to play! Everything you wanted and lots of fat, juicy oomph to the voice to really fill out your playing.
