Description

This 2002 Olson Jumbo is everything, and more, that we've come to expect from Jim Olson. A knockout flatpicking machine with a powerful, resounding bottom end for depth and sustain. Paired with crisp trebles and projection, this Olson sings for a fingerpicker’s touch just as easily. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides Engelmann Spruce top, and Jim’s MOP doves across the fretboard. Powerful, muscular, this is an incredibly fierce and energetic Olson.

We are so lucky to see many Olson guitars here at Dream Guitars, but this one is unique with its jumbo body, Brazilian Rosewood, and Engelmann Spruce. It has a voice that is much bigger than most yet it’s easy to hold and play. I love the wood combination as the Engelmann has beauty and clarity to spare and the Brazilian gives you that glassy top end that everyone loves. If you’re always wanted an Olson guitar and want something more unique and more rare this may be for you.

This guitar has lots going for it. It has the quality of construction and clarity of tone that Olson is know for with the addition of a big powerful bass response that is well controlled and sits nicely in the blend of high and low strings.
