Description

Lowden’s F-35 is a jack of all trades that manages to be a master of all trades, too. The body design gives ample power and projection for fingerstyle play, and certainly can handle flatpicking and strumming as well. The Redwood top, here paired with Flamed Mahogany back and sides, gives the voice a unique mixture of warmth and dryness (think lush bass and crisp trebles). This beau is from 2010 and looking like a well-cared for champ—which it is. The previous owner had a K&K Pure Mini pickup installed, so this one’s ready for amplification as well.

I love the combination of Mahogany and Redwood. You get good push and clarity from Mahogany and deep sweetness from the Redwood.

This one can tackle just about whatever your throw at it. The 15 7/8” lower bout, on a Mahogany/Redwood box, makes for a great mix between power, projection, and clarity.
