We’re proud to announce our latest partnernship—this time with local luthier Larry Brown—with six incredible guitars from L-00 copies and Dreadnoughts to SJs and Classicals.
Powerful, loud, and playing like butter—Larry Brown’s SJ-200 is the complete package. Based on Gibson’s 1939 Super Jumbo specs, this guitar has North Carolina-harvested Curly Maple back, sides, and neck, and a Torrefied Adirondack Spruce top with tasty sunburst. Custom engraved pickguard, Grover Art Deco tuners, and hot hide glue construction throughout. The neck has a slim 1 23/32” nut for deft lefthand work, and with Larry’s fully adjustable neck angle you can keep the setup dialed in as slinky or aggressive as you like! This big ole box packs a wallop, but plays as easily as a much smaller instrument. If you want that Super Jumbo sound and feel, but with modern amenities for setup, look no further!

Larry Brown has decades of experience, so it’s no surprise that he truly captured the essence of a 1939 Gibson here. The modern addition of an adjustable neck makes this a guitar that is perfect for the gigging musician or anyone who wants a hassle-free ownership experience. It’s beautiful, plays like a dream, and it sounds like the real deal. What else can I say. I love it.
