Description

We’re proud to announce our latest parternship—this time with local luthier Larry Brown—with six incredible guitars from L-00 copies and Dreadnoughts to SJs and Classicals.

This new Brown Dreadnought is based on 1937 specs, and features Pau Ferro back and sides and an Adirondack Spruce top for that classic Rosewood-Ady sound, Rock Maple neck, and 28-style appointments. Varnish body, French Polish top, all-hide glue construction and forward-shifted X braces to boot. This Dread has a fully adjustable neck angle (accessed by a bolt on the outside of the heel), so say goodbye, neck reset! You can dial the setup in on a whim with just a flick of the wrist. The voice has a dry, crisp flavor as though it were a vintage piece, and it’s a great choice for flatpicking with power, be it Bluegrass, Country, or beyond.

Other keywords: lutherie, dreadnaught, laurence brown, brown guitars, asheville, local guitar, grover, herringbone

Built to the specs of a 1937 Martin, this guitar has all the bite and energy would want from a dreadnought, plus the addition of modern features with an adjustable neck, so you can rest assured it will always play perfectly. This is a superb instrument for the bluegrass flatpicker and songwriter alike. Just wonderful.
