Michael, Michael, Michael, you’ve done it again. This 2018 Greenfield G2 is proof of the golden era of modern lutherie: flawlessly built, resonant to a T, effortlessly playable. This is a well-oiled machine for fingerstyle, strumming, whatsoever your guitar heart desires. African Blackwood back and sides pair up with an Alpine Moonspruce top, arm bevel, and florentine cutaway. EVO frets for longevity, 25 3/4” scale for a crisp, defined bass response that carries right on down to C# without batting an eye. It’s just incredible. The voice is characterized by the massive, juicy, enveloping flavors that we’ve come to expect from Michael Greenfield: individual notes are very, very strong—chords ring out like entire instruments unto themselves. We cannot recommend this G2 more highly.

Deep, rich, and mysterious. This Greenfield puts me in the mood to write music. The low midrange from the African Blackwood is sublime, and the Moonspruce has energy for days that just makes you want to keep playing and creating. The sign of a great instrument.
