Here we have an Applegate Baritone in Madagascar Rosewood and European Spruce. Brian has achieved a clarity of voice on this baritone that is truly inspiring. Often enough Baritones can have a muddy tone with no real distinction between strings, that is not the case here. From the gigantic gut rumbling bass strings to the present and clear trebles this baritone has the articulation and distinction to make any song you play thunder and shimmer. One of the great benefits of owning a Baritone is the sense of newness and inspiration you get in your playing, with this Applegate you are sure to have heaps of new ideas and songs flowing from your fingertips.
I love Baritones, I've owned quite a few over the years so I feel like I can say that I have a good handle on what constitutes a good Baritone. This Applegate is a great Baritone. The tone is rich and deep without being muffled. This is easily one of the best Baritones I have played, the set up is right where it should be, with a tone that will shake the plates in the cabinets.
One of the nicest baritone guitars I've played. It's punchy and warm with lots of character.
