Bill Asher makes the Weissenborn style instruments that phenom Ben Harper plays. This one is absolutely stunning. It's crafted from highly figured Koa throughout, even the fingerboard. It's also adorned with Rope Style purflings and fitted with a Seymour Duncan Mag Mic pickup. We've sold a number of vintage Weissenborns and this Asher has all the energy and the open voice of the great ones, only it's much prettier...

The sound of this Asher Style 3 Teardrop Acoustic Hawaiian is mesmerizing. Deeply resonant and haunting with a wonderful vocal quality. The whole instrument vibrates in your hands as if the notes are rushing to escape. This is also one of the very prettiest Weissenborn style guitars you'll find, Bill has a real knack for building modern instruments that beat out the vintage ones.....

This copy of Ben Harper's Weissenborn style 3 teardrop is warm and rich with lots of sustain. I wish I could play it better to demonstrate it, but boy I had fun. The tobacco sunburst is beautiful as well.
