1995 Dobro Roundneck steel/steel
Here we have a like-new Dobro from 1995. The steel body with its single cone and biscuit bridge offers up that classic clank and wail reminiscent of old Bukka White recordings. The body is finished in a tobacco burst which blends nicely with the Rosewood fingerboard. The action is set for slide and fingers and the sound is great.
The Dobro® resonator guitar, an american invented instrument, has been around since the mid 1920’s.Guitars of this type, built by independent guitar makers, are referred to as resonator, or, resophonic, guitars.the resonator guitar, now in a “Golden Era”, is popular in contemporary Bluegrass music, adding a soulfull, bluesy touch to the music. Modern country music has rediscovered the resonator guitar after abandoning the instrument for decades.
