After attending the esteemed Roberto Venn School of Luthiery in the spring of 2005, Raymond Kraut furthered his education by moving to Oakland California to study as an apprentice under the renowned Master Luthier Ervin Somogyi. Through the twenty-four month apprenticeship Somogyi introduced Raymond to the principal elements of voicing and designing a guitar to reach its fullest potential. Utilizing his mentors teachings Raymond has developed a design aesthetic and voicing that belies his short luthier experience.
