I have been acclaimed by many as a "Master" luthier. The truth of the matter is that no such title actually exists and if it did, I'm not sure it would be appropriate. In life we master nothing we just do the best we can to make it greater than it was before we started. I've always looked at it like this. I am a woodworker at heart and the greatest woodwork ever created is a tree, therein lies the great challenge... to take something that is already perfect and try to change it without losing the essence of that perfection. The best way I have found is to create something of beauty that can create music. The history of musical instruments is filled with examples of these same ideals. The trees that grew in the 1700's were just as magnificent as they are today but the lasting heritage of those trees is never more realized than when someone plays a Stradivarius violin.
I have been building hand-made musical instruments for over 40 years. Over the course of all those years I've built close to 400 guitars, a couple dozen mandolins and even a few banjos ...of course. I'm also the inventor of the revolutionary Voyage Air Guitar which allows a full featured high end guitar to fold in half and fit into a backpack for travel. Combining those two unique attributes with virtually limitless inlay possibilities allows Leach Guitars to offer possibilities beyond any other guitar company. Whether you are looking for a guitar that is a work of art, a guitar that allows you to travel the world with a First Class instrument or simply share my love for plain and simple guitar made from the worlds greatest tonewoods... look no further.
