Edgar Mönch

Edgar Mönch was a renown German Luthier who's instruments were played by the likes of John Williams. Mönch migrated from Germany to Canada where he trained Jean Larrivee, who in turn trained Sergei de Jonge. So his impact on the guitar world has been great.

Edgar Mönch built guitars in the great German tradition. That is to say they offer first rate craftsmanship with clear tone. His contribution in furthering the craft by passing on the skills of his trade is something that will always live on.

Edgar Mönch passed away in 1977.
