We have long been fans of Ed Claxton's guitars here at Dream Guitars and have sold many of them. Everyt ime we are impressed with the beautiful construction and details but mostly but the wonderous voice his instruments possess. Upon seeing the astonishing quality of tonewoods on this guitar we knew the tone would be magical and we were right. The well quartered, deeply figured Brazilian Rosewood and dreamy German Spruce top blend together sonically and produce a clear, articulate voice that seems to swell as it rises from the guitar. Fingerstyle players will be delighted by melody notes that are as strong as the warm, round bass. This Claxton guitar is a superior instrument for the demanding player.
I adore Ed Claxton's work. His guitar always satiate my desire for substantial trebles that make melodies soar. The trebles are the hard part for builders to achieve but Ed has it down. Just listen to the audio and it's easy to realize this is a fingerstyle players dream guitar. A new one of these would run $16,000 and have a wait time of about 2 years, so don't miss this one.
Definitely one of my favorite builders, Ed Claxton consistently turns out elegant, sophisticated guitars that are perfectly balanced and a real joy to play for a fingerstyle player.
