Here we have one powerhouse Contreras 1a guitar built in 1981 and signed by Manuel Contreras Sr. The projection of this Brazilian/Cedar Contreras is outstanding, the G string is very lyrical and the B and E proudly keep up with the thunderous bass. This is a real treasure, the kind of Contreras players adore and it is in wonderful condition with perfect playability as well.
This is a wonderful example of Manuel Contreras' work. This guitar sings out proudly with power and projection to satisfying the most demanding concert player. But the power is equalled by the warmth and articulation, this is a very complete guitar with deep, resonant bass as well as trebles that command attention. It's easy for melodies to be heard anywhere on the fingerboard and this instrument is very 'alive'. You can sense that a lot of great music has flowed through this guitar with many more years still to come. 
This guitar definitely has that "Conteras" sound. It's been played a lot over the years and is very responsive - Accessories
