Description

As an apprentice for the legendary English master luthier, Stefan Sobell, Nigel Forster learned not only how to build impeccably crafted instruments, but he also learned the elusive art of voicing an instrument to bring out the finest qualities inherent in the materials. In 2004, he started NK Forster Guitars, and got to work producing his own amazing guitars and bouzoukis. His skills are on fine display with this fantastic bouzouki in Cocobolo and Flamed Redwood. It's got amazing projection and a sweet woody tone that's just perfect for Celtic-style ensembles. The Cocobolo is of the highest quality, and could easily be mistaken for Brazilian.

This Forster bouzouki is so much fun to play -- for a guitarist it's a great way to get a similar feel and sound as a mandolin, but the string spacing and scale length feel more familiar. And thanks to the longer scale, there are lots of tuning options to try out. it's voice is so strong with a nice woody midrange and plenty of treble cut, it's guaranteed to inspire new directions in your repertoire.

This is a great instrument. The longer scale length adds some tension to the strings so that you can really dig in. It has a narrow neck profile that is a perfect cross between a guitar and a mandolin. This is one of the best quality Irish Bouzoukis being made today.
