This beautiful Greg German DB-6 archtop features a Red Maple back and sides along with gorgeous Spruce top and host of wonderful deco style appointments. From the inlays on the headstock and fretboard to the scroll and custom made pickguard, bridge and tailpiece, this archtop has style and class. The acoustic voice of this archtop is outstanding, it has the energy and volume of a flattop.
Modern design ideas such as the multiscalemake for great feel and superb intonation. You also get trebles that are easy to bend while the bass holds up and supports beautifully. The Kent Armstrong pickup with custom Sycamore shell really puts some tone into this guitar. The side soundport on the upper bass bout really adds to the natural acoustic quality of this instrument and insure the player gets an earful. This is a splendid archtop guitar that excels on many levels, tone, beauty and quality.
I love an archtop guitar that has a big voice. This Greg German DB-6 has just that. Played acoustically it's as strong as many flattops and plugged in it retains a wonderful acoustic quality. I'm a big fan (pun intended) of multiscale and love the way they make for short treble strings and full length basses. They make a guitar easy to play, they improve intonation and are very easy to get used to. All in all, this is one very custom archtop of the highest quality.
This is a very cool guitar. I love the feel of the multiscale frets and the tone coming from the pickup and from the guitar itself.
