This 2010 Virtuoso is a truly rare bird, crafted from Plum Pudding–figured Mahogany with a Sitka Spruce top.
Over more than a decade, this guitar has had time to open up beautifully while being exceptionally well cared for. The result is an instrument that looks every bit the masterpiece and sounds even better. Tonally, this Virtuoso delivers the clarity and power we’ve come to expect from John, with a warmth that envelops the player. Whether swing, gypsy, or straight-ahead jazz, this guitar rises to the occasion with ease and inspiration.

I have been a long time fan and friend of Johns, he is a great guy and builds exceptional guitars. This Virtuoso is sweet it will cut right through a jam session with its voice, it sounds lovely plugged in as well. This is a guitar that needs to be seen in person, the "Plum Pudding" Mahogany is something else. 
God bless John Buscarino. Here he manages an archtop that exudes clarity, warmth, and some compelling, ineffable quality to the voice that really tugs at my heartstrings. Plus, I'm a sucker for oval holes, and as always the setup and neck carve are effortless. I don't see Mahogany bodies as often on jazz boxes, but here it's rendered with great effect in the figuring.
