A great example of the Goodall workshop from 2001–in great playing shape and ready for more. AAAA Curly Koa and AAA Engelmann Spruce on top, with Goodall’s CJ body for a great mix of power and easy playability. Satin-finished neck feels very smooth in hand, and the setup’s great to boot.

James Goodall has the knack when it comes to Koa, getting all that woody warmth to balance perfectly with a quick response. The CJ body is a great midsize-plus model to add power and projection to compete with dreadnought territory, but for my money I'd rather play this one. The tighter waist just fits perfectly on either leg.
