Description

For many years now Al Petteway has had a working relationship with Rainsong Guitars. They have made some of his preferred instruments for a good while, but it wasn't until now that they really made a custom guitar to Al's specifications. When they did, the staff at Rainsong loved the design and tone of the guitar so much that they decided to make it a part of their regular lineup.

This is the Al Petteway Limited Edition (APLE) by Rainsong Guitars, and you may call us biased, but we just love this guitar! It is one of the best Carbon Graphite guitars out there, the tone is sweet and will stand up to a wood guitar in its price range any day. One of the great benefits of graphite construction is the stability. Gone are the days of worrying about humidity or accidentally leaving your instrument in the car on a hot day. This guitar will shirk off all those hazards and play perfectly each and every time!

I love these guitars! I bet if you did a blind test between this APLE and a wood built guitar, most people wouldn't be able to say which one was made from graphite. This is the Al Petteway model to top it all off, and it's truly dear to our hearts.

I may be a bit prejudiced about this guitar since it is named after me, but I do think it is the best playing and sounding carbon graphite guitar available. I have compared it with wooden guitars costing many times as much and it hangs in there with the best of them. The action is perfect and the tone is round and sweet. With the limited edition upgrades to the tuning machines, amplification and even the sunburst color, I believe this guitar is the ultimate working musician's instrument. It's the first one I pick up around the house when I feel like playing and it's my favorite road guitar as well.
