I know everyone clamors for Wayne's Brazilian D-28s, but dollars to donuts I think some of his finest work comes in the form of Spruce over Mahogany in a 000 body. This 1991 build is oh. so. wide awake. It's like having a human conversation, playing this guitar. There are certain ineffable qualities to a played in, opened up guitar, how a matured set of timbers seems to impart lightness and depth at the same time.
