Gorgeous from tuners to tail, this 2008 OM-28 from Julius Borges is a tall glass of sweet, sweet water. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with Adirondack Spruce on top, and throw in a few years for good measure to open up, and you've got a wide awake and singing OM ready for more action. Our understanding is that Borges has recently retired, so there won't be any more of these works of flattop art coming along--if you're looking for an opportunity to get into a powerhouse Borges OM-28 that holds up great for both fingers and picks, this is when that opportunity comes knocking.

Julius Borges was the man for a long time making the best repros of vintage Martin guitars. Unfortunately he had to retire from building too early, but what remains are incredible instruments like this OM-28. Lightweight and powerful with serious prewar tone.
I love the opened up and expressive quality of the Adi-BRW combo here. Good headroom for a heavier attack, hefty note presence and definition. In a word, strong. There are some seriously sweet and articulate overtones in the upper mids and trebles that really fill out the voice.
