Adorned in the most exclusive material in the boutique guitar world — The Tree Mahogany — this 2025 Ultralight Dreadnought from Don Musser is an absolute showpiece. All four sides feature The Tree, paired with full abalone appointments throughout and a torch inlay on the rosewood headplate.
Part of our Dream Weaver program, this guitar pulls out all the stops. It features a Spanish Cedar neck, bracing, body blocks, and linings, along with an ultralight, non-adjustable graphite–epoxy truss rod, bringing the total weight to just 4 pounds.
25.5″ scale length, 1 3/4″ nut width, and 2 1/4″ spacing at the saddle — a modern player’s ideal setup. A lightweight powerhouse in every sense, and truly a work of art.
This specific build lists at $25K, though Don is offering custom The Tree back & sides with Engelmann Spruce builds starting at $10K for those interested in commissioning their own.

When one amazing set of The Tree doesn't quite cut the mustard, you gotta go all in with The Tree on top too. Don's pulled together a gorgeous combo of lutherie's rarest tonewood with his abalone treatment sparkling across the top trim, fingerboard, and headplate. Brazilian Rosewood bindings (plus headstock veneer) are the darkly glittering cherries on top. With all that Tree action, the voice is clocking in with an 11 out of 10 on the warmth scale, with a lot of overtone blending across the strings for fullness and heady complexity.
