Multiscale Learn More +

Among the many custom features offered buy some luthiers is the Multiscale option. Multiscale guitars essentially have differing scale lengths so that they may perform better in certain tunings than a standard scale length. By having an extended bass side, it is possible to achieve good string tension at lower tunings. This makes playing in DADGAD and other low open tunings much easier. When it comes to Multiscale instruments, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone better versed in the subject than our staff here at Dream Guitars--after all, Paul owns multiple multiscale guitars himself! From Jordan McConnell to Ralph Novax, Mountain Song, Greenfield, Applegate, Avian and more, we have played many of these guitars, and will be happy to help you find the right one for your playing needs.
