Description

This is a wonderous 1968 Kohno No. 7 from Masaru Kohno. This instrument was completed not long after Masaru's Gold Medal win at the International Guitar Building Competition in Belgium in 1967. The Rosewood back and sides and Spruce top--along with Masaru's impeccable craftsmanship--make for a guitar with loud, robust tones and perfect playability. As if that wasn't enough, this instrument is in excellent condition for being over 40 years old and only shows light play wear. Tonally, this one has a big, Fleta inspired voice, bold and alive!

What a guitar! Two notes on this guitar is all it takes to know that it is special. It is so loud and strong. Fleta was a judges who in 1967 awarded Masura Kohno the Gold Medal at the Elizabeth's Concourse International Guitar Building Competition in Belgium. This guitar has the big, bold Fleta voice that Kohno was inspiring to at that time. This is a guitar for series player who wants the very best musical voice.
