Description

Martin made just 1375 EM-18 guitars from 1979-1982. While they did not make a big stir at the time, we find them to be a very cool guitar with great tone and a variety of settings (series & parallel) that give you the ability to get a funky single coil sort of tone as well as full-out screaming humbucker voicings. The body is laminated Maple & Walnut body have a race car sensibility and the Stauffer style headstock nods to the company's history. This would be a fun addition to any collection and this one is in excellent condition.

We were very surprised at how much fun this guitar is, Al and I experimented with the controls and were able to go from spanky, single coil twang to screaming DiMarzio tone. The neck has a great feel and I like the funky look of the guitar. It's retro and all wood. Only 1375 were made so this would be fun addition to a collection as well.

This guitar really has some great tones and it's fun to play. I think you'll find that it's comparable to some of the better custom made solid body electrics of the era like Alembic and Moonstone.
