1995 Collings CJ41 NAMM SHOW GUITAR Indian/Sitka
The beauty was a NAMM show guitar in 1995 for Bill Collings and company. This is a Collings CJ41 Sunburst with a tight grained top, full Ivoroid Bindings top to bottom and tone to spare. The early Collings are some of our favorites and this one has a special voice, very full and alive. You get a lot of power out of this Slope D Collings CJ. Whether you play light or hard it fills the room with joyous noise. The Abalone trim really shine atop the perfect Collings sunburst and makes this one as pleasing to behold as it is to play.

2007 Sexauer Dream Series #5 JB-15 Fan Fret Brazilian/German
Bruce Sexauer is known for tone. His guitars have an unmistakable energy and liveness that is very reminiscent of prewar guitars. He is also one of the few builders we’ve invited to make a Dream Series for us and it is a truly special design. Based on his Sexauer JB-15, this is a multiscale 000 14 fret body that is asymmetrical and crafted from the finest old Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce. The finish is a very thin varnish that insures all the tone comes out. It includes snakewood bindings, handmade Rogers Tuners and a Calton case to keep this treasure safe.

2000 Traugott R African Blackwood/German
Jeff Traugott is considered by many to be among the handful of top builders in the world. He’s earned this respect with his tone first and foremost. Many, many times we’ve handed clients a Traugott only to see their jaw drop in amazement and to hear them say “I’ve never heard anything like this!”. By using only the absolute finest woods, and his well-honed voicing, Jeff works wonders. This special Traugott Model R, 000, is a rare one in African Blackwood and German. The African Blackwood is some of the best we’ve ever seen, it is very well quartered and has lovely sapwood in the center of the back. This is one very expressive guitar, with round, rich Treble notes that are the Traugott hallmark and full and proportioned bass that perfectly fills out the voice. This is the kind of guitar that can captivate an audience all by itself, nothing else is needed.

We asked for a 25″-26″ fan on this one which makes the versatile Tamarack design even more so. This combination of scales is perfect for moving between Standard, DADGAD and Alternate Tunings, plus you get improved intonation and feel all the time. 2004 Hoffman Concert 12 Australian Blackwood/Adirondack

2010 Veillette Gryphon High Tuned 12 String Mahogany/Sitka
Here we have a rare preowned Veillette Gryphon High Tuned 12 String(Unison) Guitar. This one is crafted from mahogany and spruce for the body, has a soft sunburst, onboard DTAR Wavelength 18v pickup system and an onboard tuner that is super easy to use. We finished it off with an upgrade to a hardshell case. We absolutely love this design by Joe Veillette, imagine a glorious sounding 12 string capoed at the 10th fret. That what you get hear, a short scale, easy to play unison 12 string (no octaves), that’s tuned high to D. The result is a huge and beautiful double course sound, like a mandolin only richer and warmer. Any guitarist can play it, using everything you already know, but you’ll get a fresh sound that will inspire you and your band.

2003 Martin 000-28ECB Brazilian/Sitka
Here we have one of the original 500 Brazilian Rosewood Martin 000-28ECB Eric Clapton Signature Editions. This one is #121 of 500 ever made. The Brazilian Rosewood is dark and rich and adds it’s body to the classic Martin tone. The short scale and wider fingerboard make this a gem for fingerstyle play. But, like all Martins, flatpicking and strumming works great as well. This one is in excellent shape and real collectible Martin guitar that you can enjoy every day.

2008 Turner Model 1 Featherweight Flamed Maple
The Rick Turner Renaissance Model 1 Featherweight is now a icon in the guitar world. Made famous by Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac and now played by John Mayer (see video) and a host of others. The Model 1 is crafted from a chambered Cedar Core. This one has highly Flamed Maple for the top and back and headstock. The magnetic pickup is handwound and can be rotated by a single bolt in the rear to adjust the tone. The bridge has individual Piezo pickups to add an acoustic sound. The controls allow you to really dial what you want from clean acoustic, to screamin’ leads. A truly unique instrument in the guitar world.
1939 Gibson L-30 Mahogany/Spruce
Here’s a wonderfully preserved 1939 Gibson L-30 Archtop. This vintage, pre-war Gibson is a blast to play. It’s a small body, but has a big voice. It sounds right at home for Jazz, fingerstyle blues or ragtime. It appears to be all original and everything is in perfect order with great playability up the entire fingerboard. Everybody in the shop wants this one so come and get it to save us the employee discount.

2006 Martin 000-28EC Indian/Sitka
The Martin 000 needs little introduction as it’s been one of the most popular guitars of all time. The Eric Clapton Signature Model 000-28EC has made quite a name for itself as well and this one is a wonderful example. While just a year old and in mint condition, the voice is already mature and vibrant. The wide grain Sitka Spruce top put outs abundant bass and trebles that zing across the room. This guitar of course loves to play blues and rags, but it’s one of the most versatile designs and can easily handle Celtic, Traditional, Old Time or anything else you wish to throw at it.

2002 Collings 003-E Indian/Engelmann
Here we have a beautifully kept 2002 Collings 00-3E. The ‘3’ indicates the highest level of appointments including a bound neck and headstock, abalone rosette, upgraded slothead tuners with Ivoroid buttons and more. The ‘E’ here is a reference to the amazing Engelmann top on this guitar. It is a perfect top, full of medullary rays with equate to tone and energy. This is what Master Grade looks like. It is also easy to hear the quality of this top. This guitar is loud and deceptively full sounding for a 00. The bass response is closer to what you’d expect from a 000 or even an OM. This is a superb Collings, a cut above in our book.

2007 Woolson LG Deluxe Pau Ferro/Lutz
Here we have a wonderful Woolson LG Model in Pau Ferro and Lutz Spruce complete with a soundport and lovely wood bindings from head to toe. Lutz is a wonderful wood that is admired for it’s ability to sound played in right away. It’s a hybrid spruce that is a blend of Sitka and White Spruce and it gives this small body beast good energy and volume. There is also a side soundport for additional pleasure for the picker. This guitar is well suited for fingerstyle and strumming, always clear and balanced.

2007 R. Taylor Style 2 Brazilian/Adirondack
This one has all the upgrades, premium Brazilian Rosewood, Adirondack Spruce and 42 Style Abalone on the top, sides and back making this one stunning R. Taylor Style 2 guitar. The vintage bronze Gotoh tuners and Abalone Fret Markers complete the eye-catching appearance. The voice is the bright, clear Taylor sound with a bit more character thanks to the very dramatic set of figured Rosewood. The playability is superb.

The Cervantes Crossover is one of our most popular hybrid nylon string guitars. Players of all styles from Brazilian to Jazz to Classical are drawn to the unique combination of serious tone and great playability.
