2009 Buscarino Starlight Nylon String Mahogany/Maple
For all of you crossover players out there, this is a beautiful piece of work by John Buscarino. It’s his nylon-strung Starlight model, and it’s every bit as lovely to play as it is to look at. John really hit a home run with this design. We’ve played a lot of hybrid classical-electrics, and this is as good as they come. Great playability, strikingly handsome looks, and a sweet tone that would do Antonio Carlos Jobim proud.
2007 Galloup Solstice Brazilian/Lutz
Here we have a dazzling Galloup Solstice guitar showcases a rare and striking set of Bryan’s very best Reserve Brazilian Rosewood and this is paired with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, bridge and headstock creating a natural beauty with the premier guitar tonewood. The gorgeous Brazilian is topped with Lutz Spruce which is a hybrid of Sitka Spruce, White Spruce and sometimes Engelmann Spruce. There’s also a cutaway, armrest bevel and the Buzz Feiten tuning system that is standard on all Galloup Guitars. This is a spectacular Galloup with the best of everything.

Here we have a rare preowned Milenia model from Alejandro Cervantes. This one is a Concert Series Milenia-PE crafted from Palo Escrito and Spruce. Inspired by the Thomas Humphrey Millenium design, it features a raised fingerboard and slanted soundboard that ‘pre-loads’ the top. This one is loud and clear and beautiful. Every note rings out and the playability is as perfect as the condition.

Here’s a stunning Goodall guitar made in Hawaii from the famed Hawaiian tonewood, highly figured Koa. Koa is becoming more and more rare in this kind of figuring. The headplate is a superb flamey piece of Koa and the top is premium Sitka Spruce with lots of silky rays. Bound in rosewood for a beautiful contrast. The tone is rich and woody full of Koa’s character. It’s powerful and clean and this one plays with ease, like all Goodall guitars.
2002 Lucas Kenny Smith Mahogany/Adirondack
Randy Lucas is well known as one of the go to builders that can make a Dreadnought that rivals the best prewar guitars. Flatpicker extraordinaire Kenny Smith teamed up with Randy to create a limited Signature Series and this guitar is the result of that talented collaboration. Only 21 of these were made. Mahogany and Adirondack braced to perfection, this is a tonal monster and one serious guitar. Built in 2002, the Adirondack top is now played in, alive and energetic. I remember seeing William Coulter playing this Traugott BK Guitar on stage the first time and being mesmerized but the extraordinary clarity and beauty of the tone of this Traugott BK. William recorded numerous albums with it including Celtic Sessions, The Crooked Road and Song for our Ancestors. Jeff Traugott crafted this stunning instrument for William using premium figured Koa and his trademark German Spruce top which he voiced to perfection. After years in the hands of a master player like William, this guitar is extremely alive and responsive. It has amazing clarity and articulation and a wonderful history that makes it a very special Traugott guitar.
