Ron Phillips hand makes his resonators with vintage style and big tone. He specializes in small body resos, like this little Parlor, that have a big bark. Del Rey, the late John Jackson, Orville Johnson and many other great slide players have turned to Ron to find their voice. This little beast is a steel body with a powder coat finish so it's as easy to take care of as it is to play. It sounds great played fingerstyle or slide and is setup to move between the two.
What a great small body reso. I love the comfortable size but it still packs quite a punch. Ron Phillips make his one cones as well as every piece of his guitars so he's able to make them very strong even in a small shape such as this Parlor. I like that this one is powder coated as well so it is easy to keep clean. This size is great to travel with as a bonus.
What a great little blues guitar. It's got lots of character and punch, but sits nicely on your lap.
