Description

Here is a stunning Sheppard Ave Maria model in silky European Spruce and Cocobolo. The beauty of this guitar is absolutely second to none -- Gerald has a keen eye for visual grace, exemplified perfectly in this body shape and adorned with abalone trim of remarkable depth and color. The guitar is incredibly comfortable as well, thanks to the arm bevel, ribrest bevel, and even a small bevel in the cutaway. We've saved the best for last -- the tone and playability are just perfect. A robust low end has lots of chime while mids and highs sing out like a small orchestra.

Gerald's guitars are always supremely crafted, as this one obviously is, and tonally, it checks all the boxes -- great projection, tight bass, lovely singing mids and crystalline highs. I can imagine easily getting lost in the exquisite voice of this guitar while gazing out at the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. It's also one of the most comfortable guitars I've played in a long while. I think it's time to go pick a few tunes...

Gerald Sheppard has taken the best elements of recent acoustic guitar design and incorporated them into this gem. There are three bevels on this guitar. One for the right arm, one for the body and one on the cutaway, making it extremely comfortable to play. His finish work is excellent and the tone is balanced and sweet.
